Since leaving Oban we have been spending time with Dani's family.
It has been very relaxed, and good to see them before we head off.
We also managed to take some photos for our Russian, Mongolian, and Chinese visa's.
A couple of days ago we arrived back in Leighton Buzzard, to a crazy garden with lots of stuff gone to seed.
We are spending the next few weeks here, organising our stuff, getting the visas we need and spending time with Dani's immediate family. We leave London for Amsterdam on July 18.
This blog will document the journey Dani and I will take from Leighton Buzzard, England to Seacliff, South Australia. It will not be a direct route. Travel commenced May 2012 and will end January 2013.

Argyl, Scotland
We are now back on the isle of Britain, and enjoying a period of rest near the pretty town of Oban.
It has been 3 days since we used the car, getting around on bikes as we explore the town and surrounds, like the sparsely populated island of Kerrera.
We are staying with a host who lives in an old WWII lookout
And we have 360° views, any small portion of which would be amazing by itself, but taken as a whole it is truly spectacular

Sligo, Donegal and Northern Ireland
We are sadly leaving Ireland. It has been an excellent start to our journey, and we have been incredibly lucky in many regards.
From beautiful locations and record-breaking warmth

Local tips about interesting things to see, like this cave
To inspirational couchsurfing hosts
